Canada Council for the Arts and Musicaction are owed a massive debt of gratitude for having enabled the entire Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra from Montreal to play in Bremen. It was also great to have the chance to appreciate a female composer-arranger, holding up the standard of arguably the most well known: Maria Schneider (whose band includes Christines sister Ingrid). At 15, he formed a musical group called the Smoking Section ', dedicating himself to singing gospel music in the school choir and interpret songs blues in local city Boston. In 1994, with Tom Hambridge and Adrienne Hayes, he formed the group Susan Tedeschi Band; in 1995 he began playing the guitar and the album "Better Days" was published, having only local impact. Recording sessions, from 1997, they were acquired by the record company Tone-Cool Records, being released in 1998 the album "Just Will not Burn", which received good reviews from specialized magazines in blues. From 1998 to 1999, Susan Tedeschi toured throughout the United States, showing a spectacular staging and with a powerful voice. Tedeschi, later, would be opening for John Mellencamp, B. B. King, Buddy Guy, Allman Brothers Band, Taj Mahal and Bob Dylan. In 2000, the album "Just Will not Burn" gold record converted to sell 500,000 copies in the United States, a not very common milestone in blues records. Susan recorded two songs with two members of the group Double Trouble, Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon. In 2001 she married Derek Trucks, one of the first guitarists of the group Allman Brothers Band, which leads his own group (Derek Trucks Band), and is the nephew of Butch Trucks (Allman founder battery). Tedeschi and Trucks met during the summer tour of Allman Brothers Band in 1999. They have two sons, Charlie and Sophia and live in Jacksonville, Florida.
