Good Manners for Nice People mp3 | English | 218.47 MB e live in a world that's very different from the one in which Emily Post came of age. Many of us who are nice (but who also sometimes say "f*ck") are frequently at a loss for guidelines about how to be a good person who deals effectively with the onslaught of rudeness we all encounter. To lead us through this this miasma of modern manners, syndicated columnist Amy Alkon - The Advice Goddess - gives us a new set of manners for our 21st-century lives. In chapters titled "The Telephone", "The Internet", "The Apology", and "Communicating", among others, Alkon maps out new rules that go beyond what fork to use to answer real questions we all have: When is it okay to phone somebody instead of emailing or texting? When is it rude? Why shouldn't you tweet about a guest at a private dinner party? Everybody knows privacy is dead, right? How do you shut the guy up in the pharmacy line with his cellphone on speaker? When is it right to approach somebody who's crying in public and when is it right to leave him alone? When should you unfriend somebody on Facebook and what do you say when she calls you on it? If you have an STD, when do you tell people, what do you say, and do you have to contact everyone you've ever had sex with? Real advice for today with more than a touch of humor, Good Manners for Nice People Who Sometimes Say F*ck is destined to give good old Emily a shove off the etiquette shelf (if that's not too rude to say). http://ul.to/wpavmz9l http://ul.to/vybe9jwk

James Clavell - Gai-jin mp3 | English | 1.09 GB The story opens with a fictional rendition of the Namamugi Incident. On September 14, 1862. Phillip Tyrer, John Canterbury, Angelique Richaud, and Malcolm Struan are riding on the Tōkaidō, when they are attacked by Shorin Anato and Ori Ryoma, both Satsuma samurai and ronin shishi in the sonnō jōi movement, cells of revolutionary xenophobic idealists. Canterbury is killed, Malcolm seriously wounded, and Tyrer receives a minor arm injury; only Angelique escapes unharmed to get help back to Yokohama. Tyrer and Malcolm make their way to Kanagawa (Kanagawa-ku) later that day, where Dr. Babcott operates on Malcolm. Meanwhile, at a village inn in Hodogaya the daimyo Sanjiro of Satsuma, meets with Katsumata, one of his advisors, and receives Ori and Shorin, with whom he plots an overthrow of the current Shogunate. Two days later Malcolm is moved to the merchant' settlement in Yokohama. The Wine Lover Cooks with Wine Great Recipes for the Essential Ingredient True PDF | English | 86 MB From the author of the best selling Wine Lover's Cookbook comes the Wine Lover Cooks With Wine - 80 recipes using wine as the signature ingredient. After showing us how well wine on the table can complement a meal, Sid Goldstein is here to teach us how using wine in a recipe can add complexity and intensity to any dish. In his customary easy-going style Goldstein explains how different wines work best in different styles of cooking as well as how they bring out or compliment flavours inherent in main ingredients. Whether used to delicately poach fresh fish, braise an intense stew, or as a dark, rich reduction, the addition of wine can make a boring dish great and a great dish spectacular. Starting with an introduction to varietals, fortified, and specialty wines, the book is then organized by cooking technique - Sauces, steaming, Simmering and Poaching, Marinating, and Braising. Finally, a chapter of Side Dishes and Desserts (wine free) round out a fabulous meal. For those curious to know more about cooking with wine, a bibliography points readers in the right direction. For those who love their wine, The Wine Lover Cooks With Wine is the ultimate guide to cooking with wine. http://ul.to/a7gzomvm

Wicked Good Burgers True PDF | English | 46 MB This is a great burger book. The scope is excellent - from the basics of meat combinations to grinding your own meat, to non-meat burgers to a wide variety of sides including burger toppings, fries and shakes. Wicked Good Burgers is a fun cover-to-cover read, for those who enjoy reading cookbooks. Almost every recipe includes an author's introduction and photo. The photos are printed in surprisingly vibrant color given the trade paperback format. Here's what I've cooked so far. I'll update as I go. Red Hots - This is a sweet/hot relish with main components onions, jalapenos and pineapple. It starts very sweet from the pineapple, then transitions to a full-mouth wonderful heat. It's a great topping. The recipe calls for 20 red jalapenos. I used only 6 chiles - 3 green jalapenos and 3 red fresnos - and it turned out plenty hot for me. http://ul.to/ts1pii6w
