Henry Cow, fundado a finales de los años 1960 en la U. de Cambridge por los multi-intrumentistas Fred Frith y Tim Hodgkinson y disuelto diez años despues es conocida como una de las bandas de corte más erudito dentro del contexto del rock experimental y de vanguardia, algo que hacia falta en este foro.

Su música, compuesta frecuentemente por elementos ajenos al rock como el jazz, el dadaísmo o la música expresionista, dio lugar a un nuevo movimiento, que fue llamado “Rock In Opposition” (RIO), formado por varias bandas y músicos que exploraban hasta el infinito las posibilidades estilísticas que ofrecían el rock y el blues a la música académica y experimental, esto hace del rock o lo que se llame algo casi idilico, unico y sin limites, por lo que aca se trae su box doble de 11 discos que resume lo que fue esta tremenda banda muy poco conocida aun en este foro.
