Reliquia absoluta, en 1994 tras catorce años de separación y después de rechazar ofertas multimillonarias por volver a tocar juntos, los Eagles deciden unirse de nuevo para seguir su carrera. Su primer trabajo de esta nueva época es el álbum "Hell Freezes Over" (El Infierno se congela), con cuatro nuevos temas y 11 éxitos anteriores. El nombre del disco fue dado por Don Henley. Cuando le preguntaban cuándo volverían los Eagles, éste respondía diciendo: "...cuando el infierno se congele...".
