AN INTRODUCTION

When the first COVID-19 cases hit the Netherlands and the country went in "smart lockdown", it meant my agenda for April got a lot more empty. No Paaspop, no Roadburn, no more concerts and festivals until at least September. I'm sure you agree that is absolutely depressing.

But as much as it sucks for us fans, it sucks even more for all the bands that had extensive tours and awesome festival shows planned. Some already invested extensive amounts of time and money to make sure we, the fans, would have great days and legendary nights. All those plans were shattered in seconds due to this horrid virus.

Being engaged with the national and international doom and stoner scene, I felt the time was right to shine a light on the Dutch scene. I hope you will enjoy this selection of some (but certainly not all) of the awesome music the Netherlands have to offer you. I've written this little booklet to help you find your way.

And remember, these are hard times, so make sure to show these bands some love.
