Otis Taylor is an American multi-instrumentalist musician born in 1948 in Chicago, Illinois that plays a trance blues with African roots, personal voice, conscious lyrics and original and elaborate riffs. His passion for music was discovered when family moved to Denver, Colorado where a neighbor gave him an old ukulele. After having several projects in Denver, travels to London with a record contract under the arm.
He did not have much philosophy fit and impositions of the music that did not fit well with his style and blues singer returned frustrated to Colorado where he formed a project with Tommy Bolin of Deep Purple happened unnoticed. In 1977 he leaves the music world to put an antique limiting its actions to special occasions with his closest friends. In 1995, Kenny Pasarelly (Elton John, Stephen Stills, Joe Walsh) has convinced him to return to the world of music with "Otis Taylor Band" that lasted about six years released two albums independently ("Blue Eyed Monster 'and "When Negroes Walked The Earth"). From 2001 and published as Otis Taylor and perform up to 9 different stamp albums until 2008 where we could highlight celebrated albums by critics and audiences as "White African" "Respect the Dead" or "Truth is not Fiction". Until today has 11 nominations and several Blues Music Awards.
