Jimmie Vaughan Lawrence (born March 20, 1951 in Dallas, Texas) is an American guitarist and blues singer.
It is one of the leading guitarists of the Austin scene from the 70s to the present. His style, clean, elegant and alternating fingerpicking, is influenced by Freddie King, which received personal assistance, Albert King, BB King and Johnny "Guitar" Watson.
Vaughan played amateur football, but at age 13 had an injury that left him inactive and bedridden for some time. A family friend lent him a guitar to entertain you while you recover. He quickly learned to play and began to teach his younger brother, Stevie Ray Vaughan.
