Robert Lockwood Jr., (March 27, 1915 - November 21, 2006), was an American blues guitarist who recorded for Chess Records in the 50s and 60s he was the eternal associate of Sonny Boy Williamson II at its recording .--- Robert Lockwood Jr. was born in Turkey Scratch, a village west of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. He began playing the church organ from his father at age 8. The great bluesman Robert Johnson lived with Lockwood's mother for 10 years, after her parents divorced. Johnson Lockwood lessons learned firsthand not only how to play guitar, but also the stage management. Consequently for personal and professional relationship with Johnson relationship began to nickname him as "Robert Junior" Lockwood.
