Murray has played in the band accompanying Etta James' for twenty years, was Grammy Award winning three occasions in recordings with James and BB King, also released three solo albums. In 2011, the Detroit Blues Society gave Murray Award for Lifetime Achievement.His playing the guitar was influenced mainly by Albert Collins.
