Hugh Laurie does a musical journey across America to delve into the history of blues music in the country. When I was a boy, Hugh heard a recording of a concert by blues legend Professor Longhair playing aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.
As a tribute, Hugh gives concerts in his way across the US before playing a concert in homage to his musical hero in the same boat. On the way, visit the studios of Ray Charles and plays piano blues star itself. Also known Mudd Morganfield, son of Muddy Waters, also doing duets with Jools Holland.
