Three times winner of "the British Best Harmonica Player" of the Year Blues Awards, Errol Linton is a magician of harmonic born in Brixton (of Jamaican descent), a singer, composer, painter and hero of the London Underground, where he played unmatched and unique style, very original mix of blues with touches of reggae, in 20 years!

Presented by John Walters, 'Blues South of the River' was the first part of a double bill of films titled 'Two generations of Blues as part of the string Arena BBC2 in 1993. The film was directed by Francis Hanly and was followed by a second documentary film (Big Bill Broonzy).
