Alice: Madness Returns es la segunda parte del videojuego American McGee’s Alice lanzado en el año 2000 el cual lanzado en pc; el cual obtuvo mucho éxito.

La historia nos dice que muchos años después de Alicia en el país de las maravillas y A través del espejo, la familia de Alice sufre una trágica muerte en un misterioso incendio, del cual solo logra salir viva nuestra heroína, desesperada y en soledad decide suicidarse, pero en lugar de morir es internada en el Rutledge Asylum, donde luchaba por hacer frente a sus demonios al sumergirse en su mundo de fantasía en el país de las Maravillas.

 

Ahora, después de diez años, que finalmente ha asegurado su liberación, ella todavía lleva la pesada carga psicológica de aquel trágico suceso le ocasionó; con su mente destrozada, es incapaz de resolver el miedo creado por sus muy extraños recuerdos, sueños y visiones.

 

Tal vez lo hará mejor en el País de las Maravillas. Ella siempre lo ha hecho. Ella viaja ahí, buscando lo que el mundo “real” no le puede ofrecer: la seguridad, el conocimiento y la verdad sobre el pasado. Pero en su ausencia, el país de las maravillas también ha sufrido.

Algo ha salido terriblemente mal, y ahora es un gran mal desciende sobre lo que alguna vez fue su refugio hermoso.
