Rick y Fred son muy buenos amigos y tienen mucho en común, incluyendo el hecho de que llevan muchos años casados. Pero cuando ellos empiezan a mostrar cansancio en su hogar, sus esposas les regalan un ‘pase libre’ que les da una semana sin matrimonio para que hagan lo que quieran… sin preguntas de por medio. Al principio suena como un sueño hecho realidad para Rick y Fred, pero no tardan mucho en descubrir que lo que recuerdan de su vieja vida de solteros ya está muy lejos de la realidad.
