This DVD is a real winner as it is taken from those old musical shorts and a 1960s television series all American I'd say. The presentation and picture quality is excellent and the sound, the most important, is very good too. It is interesting to see the very well known big bands mixed in with the lesser known of the period. The inclusion of 1960s performances is a great contrast to the shorts of the late 1930s and 1940s. In the early years of channel 4 many of these musical shorts were shown but have not been seen since and so this is a chance to obtain them in DVD format.
