Este es su primer álbum como solista, The Geese and the Ghost, y es un verdadero album de rock progresivo con mucho de ambientalista hasta incluso con toques minimalistas y salió a la venta en 1977, en pleno auge Punk, por lo que lamnetablemente no tuvo buenas ventas. Conformado con baladas pastorales y otras composiciones de larga duración, es de una belleza sin igual, con melodias hermosas y sonidos a veces muy relajantes.
