Sinópsis
Versión libre del nacimiento del festival más famoso de la historia. A modo de comedia desenfadada se nos relata, más que el propio desarrollo del festival, cómo surgió la idea de hacer un concierto para recaudar fondos y salir de una deuda familiar. Basada en las memorias de Elliot Tiber, es la historia de un joven que tuvo un importante papel involuntario para que el Festival de Música y Arte de Woodstock, en 1969, fuera un acontecimiento histórico. Elliot Tiber, un decorador afincado en Greenwich Village, Nueva York, debe volver a su pueblo para ayudar a sus padres a llevar un viejo motel llamado El Mónaco. Al enterarse de que en un pueblo vecino han retirado la autorización para que se celebre un festival hippy de música, llama a los organizadores pensando que puede ser la ocasión de revitalizar el motel. Tres semanas después, medio millón de personas se dirigen hacia la granja de su vecino en White Lake para participar en "los tres días de paz y música" que definieron a toda una nueva generación.
