Circuit analysis is process of analyzing an electronic circuit to determine the voltage or current at a specific point in the circuit. This is often necessary to be sure that components in the circuit are not operating beyond their specifications.

I start by introducing the basics; Ohm's law, series and parallel circuits, Kirchhoff's Laws, Thevenin's theorem, Norton's theorem, and how to use a multimeter to to take measurements in a circuit.

Then I cover how to analyze a mesh circuit using a system of equations, matrixes (or the Latin form matrices), node analysis, and superposition theorem.

Electronic circuit analysis requires a bit of knowledge of algebra. Most circuit analysis texts show a schematic, and a formula, and then the result. They assume you know enough algebra to get from the formula to the result without explanation. Not everyone is an algebra expert. For example, determining a least common multiple in order to eliminate fractions from an equation. I don't assume everyone is an algebra expert. I show you step-by-step how to get from the formula to the result. I this insults anyone's intelligence, I apologize.

Many electronics engineers and technicians in the field can design an electronic circuit, but can they calculate the voltage or current that should appear at any specific point in the circuit? That is what separates the pros from the amateurs.
