Engineering structures encompass various engineering facilities constructed above ground, underground, and in water, such as bridges, roads, buildings, tunnels, dams, and other similar structures. These infrastructures play a vital role in daily life and social activities. However, due to limitations at the technological development and management level, and the influence of adverse environmental factors, problems regarding the security and usability of engineering structures have become increasingly prominent, resulting in serious casualties, property losses, and adverse social impacts. Therefore, there is an urgent need to establish an effective system for evaluating the condition and performance of engineering structures to monitor and evaluate their health status. Fortunately, with the rapid development of the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and remote sensing, more advanced technologies have been applied to the evaluation of the condition and performance of engineering structures. This volume delves into the areas of condition sensing and performance assessment within engineering structures, comprising a total of 33 papers. These studies provide some novel methods, models, and technological applications for bridge condition perception, which are of great significance for the design, construction, and assessment of engineering structures.
