The problems remain and symptom relief is short-lived. For example, the "problem" of decreased profitability is always a symptom associated with revenue or cost problems. An since cost is so easy to quantify we often attack costs. And that often leads to unintended consequences. ("Lean and mean" often ends in "lean and anorexic.) We also challenge you to provide answers to seventeen questions that will examine the thoroughness of your problem solving work.
