Storyline: Christmas with the Karountzoses is a Greek Christmas film, set in present day "Chicago", centered around a Greek family at their dinner table on Christmas Eve. Michael, our protagonist, has chosen to work his entire life, sacrificing a lot of family time, in order to provide for his family. After hearing a rumor about getting promoted to a long over-due position, Michael invites all of his family over to celebrate. However, the promotion falls through and Michael has to face defeat through a long night filled with 14 Greek's at his dinner table. Short on money and filled with regrets, Michael has a night infused with the most important people of his life, transitioning his workaholic demeanor back into the loving father he once was.
