ENTERBRAIN, INC., a developer of the RPG Maker series, announced the release of RPG Maker MV 1.5.0, the latest in their ongoing series of DIY RPG maker suites.

 

RPG MAKER was born to fulfill the desire of creating an original RPG without programming knowledge. Four years have passed since the release of the previous RPGMAKER, VX Ace. The landscape of gaming, especially for RPGs, has changed greatly. So did the needs of our users. With the latest installment, RPGMAKER MV allows the dreams of many of its fans to come true! RPGMAKER can now create RPGs for MacOSX, Android and iPhone!

 

The following things are the incoming features, changes and fixes for 1.5.0:

 

NEW FEATURES

- Retry function when resource loading fails

- Master Volume API.

- Plugin / Event / Map search function

- Community CoreScript added to allow users to control specific parts of RPG Maker MV.

UPGRADES AND BUG FIXES

- Core Script Upgrade for better memory management.

- Plugin Manager Updated to have new features. Variable type can be set in plugins

- Fix to color impossible to change on PNG without an alpha channel

- Fix to BGM not updating properly when riding a boat.

- Play Movie event is now fixed to work on mobile.

- Black Grid is now fixed on mobile.

- Fix to ME blocking BGM sound change.

- Pixi upgraded to version 4.4
