Dr. Lonnie Smith is a musician, composer, performer and studio musician unprecedented. A true master and guru Hammond B-3 for more than five decades, has worked in more than seventy albums, and has recorded and performed with the greatest jazz, blues and R & B industry giants.
It has often been regarded as a legend, a musical icon, and as the most creative jazz organist for various specialized media magazine Jazz Times described him as "a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a turban!" Since 1969, when the Downbeat magazine named him "Top Organist" of the year, Dr. Lonnie Smith has gained a lot of surveys critics as the principal organist of the world.
In 2012, he launched his own record label, Pilgrimage Productions. "The Healer", a live recording of the trio, is the first release on his label.
