Wheeler was born in Albany, Georgia on August 28, 1937 and like many young people of that era started listening to blues and playing guitar. So he found in the repertoire of the big bands, such as Joe Staford, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington, your favorite music. At 19 he went to Chicago, where he struck up a friendship with Little Walter and began to play the harmonica. James was impressed with the sounds of blues and dazzled with the musicians of his time and chose his instrument: an old brand Harmony acoustic guitar with microphone. In 1963 he formed his own band, The Jaguars and during the following years had the opportunity to play with great bluesmen like BB King, Mckinley Mitchell, Millie Jackson, Otis Clay and OV Wright. In 1993, guitarist joined the Mississippi Heats with whom he recorded three albums. His first solo album "Ready" is 1998. James Wheeler with 72 years represents a living legend of Blues Chicago.Download P1Download P2Download P3Download P4
