Joseph William Perkins (July 7, 1913 - March 21, 2011), better known as Pinetop Perkins was an American blues musician whose specialty was the piano. Until 2011 it remained one of the most senior active Delta blues musicians. I play with some of the most influential blues artists blues history of the United Kingdom. He died on March 21, 2011 at his home in Austin, at 97 years1 shortly after winning her second Grammy for Joined at the Hip: Pinetop Perkins & Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, in the section on 'best album traditional blues', being the oldest artist to win the award.
