Iverson Minter, known as Louisiana Red (Bessemer, Alabama, United States, March 23, 1932 - Hannover, Germany, February 25, 2012) was an American guitarist and blues singer, famous for her song Sweet Blood Call. Minter had a tough childhood, he lost his parents at a very young, his mother died of pneumonia and his father was lynched by members of the Ku Klux Klan when he had five years. After these losses, traveled as a family of relatives to another, who were responsible for their care. In 1949 he joined the US Army and by the end of 1950, leaving the army, he was playing two years with John Lee Hooker in Detroit.
