Born in South Carolina, it is the last of the "Red Hot Mamas" is how she described Ralph Cooper in his book, and showed her talent at the age of three years. During her childhood she spent the summer months each at the Victoria School of Music in Harlem to perfect their skills in tap dancing and singing. The final touch she gave her voice during many years of jazz standards and pop to but then find their true calling in blues, where she worked with the biggest names so with Dizzie Gillespie, George Benson, Fathead Newman, Koko Taylor and Stanley Turrantine. She loves Montreux and was explicitly forward to performing at the club. In addition, they will serve as president of the jury of the singing competition of the festival.
