Edgar Holland Winter (Beaumont, December 28, 1947), American instrumentalist of blues, jazz and rock, known as a vocalist, saxophonist and keyboardist of great success in the 70s with his band The Edgar Winter Group. Like his brother Johnny Winter is recognizable by his albinism. After recording with his brother, Johnny Winter, Edgar signed his own recording contract with Epic Records in 1970 and recorded two successful albums, Entrance and Edgar Winter's White Trash.

In 1972 he formed The Edgar Winter Group, who accompanied Dan Hartman, Ronnie Montrose and Chuck Ruff and later guitarist and producer Rick Derringer in Montrose. It was with this band that achieved its greatest success They Only Come Out at Night (1972) figuring instruments and hit song "Frankenstein", pioneering the use of the synthesizer as the main instrument subject. (During his concerts, Winter showed his virtuosity on keyboards, synthesizer, saxophone and percussion).
