Remake americano de la película francesa "13 Tzameti", dirigida por el propio Géla Babluani en 2005. El film narra varias historias entrelazadas con un punto comun: la violencia y el poder. Un hombre joven (Sam Riley) se encuentra inmerso en una competición clandestina donde se apuesta la vida de seres humanos. Un presidiario (Mickey Rourke) de una prisión mexicana participa en el juego. Un competidor (Ray Winstone) que ha salido de un manicomio, un empleado (50 Cent) que tiene que escoltar al preso, un inglés adinerado (Jason Statham) que apuesta en la competición y tiene un peculiar interés por uno de sus contrincantes. Y, finalmente, un policía que sigue la pista del juego ilegal.
