Tubes, scream, pull - a large arsenal of guitar effects Brian Hughesdoes not need. The musician sat at the concert in Zuelpicher "live rehearsal room" especially on the muted sound of his Gretsch. So the audience could experience the virtuosity of the Canadian-born in the well-stocked rehearsal room.

Jazz and blues are the basis of his plays. Here waived Hughes and his band completely on vocals. The also lacked not, because the combo arranged the pieces so dense, dynamic and diverse, that it was boring second to none. So Hughes was at "A Blanket of Stars" a flowing silky-soft melody from the speakers. As a pianist Martin Sasse took over the main part that changed with the edgier piano sound and the character of the piece.
