Sinopsis
La mafia se siente amenazada cuando unos desconocidos asaltan a los asistentes a una partida de póker. Los capos acuden al investigador Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) para encontrar a los culpables, responsables de una serie de robos a casinos protegidos por los propios mafiosos. Sin embargo, la misión de Cogan se complica entre indecisos, estafadores de segunda, asesinos cansados... y la situación comienza a degenerar poco a poco.
