SINOPSIS: Julia es una joven enfermera que vive en un decadente pueblo de los Estados Unidos, en el que, inexplicablemente, han desaparecido varios niños en muy poco tiempo. Los más supersticiosos atribuyen las desapariciones al Hombre Alto: uno oscuro personaje que, según la tradición, se lleva a los niños. Cuando desaparece también el hijo de Julia, ella luchará no sólo por recuperarlo, sino también por averiguar quién es el Hombre Alto y qué les ocurre a los niños raptados.
