SINOPSIS

Annie es una profesora de colegio que está investigando la leyenda de Candyman, el espíritu de un pintor de color que fue mutilado y cubierto por abejas hasta su muerte hace un siglo por mantener una relaciones con una joven blanca. Se dice que si pronuncias su nombre cinco veces delante de un espejo te atravesará de abajo a arriba con un garfio. Su hermano ha sido acusado de asesinar al autor de un libro sobre la leyenda, y se encuentra en prisión. En pleno carnaval de Nueva Orleans, la profesora se ve obligada a pronunciar su nombre para demostrar a sus jóvenes alumnos que no deben tener miedo de la leyenda. Sin saberlo, Annie ha invocado a Candyman, y sus personas cercanas van a sufrir las consecuencias.
