“Un lugar donde quedarse (This must be the place)” nos cuenta la historia de Cheyenne, un judío cincuentón, antigua estrella del rock, que sigue la estética gótica y lleva una vida aburrida de prejubilado en Dublín. La muerte de su padre, con el que hacía tiempo que no se trataba, le lleva de vuelta a Nueva York, donde, a través de la lectura de algunos diarios, reconstruye la vida de su padre en los últimos treinta años, en los que se dedicó a buscar obsesivamente a un criminal nazi que se había refugiado en Estados Unidos. Con una inexorable lentitud y sin capacitación alguna como investigador, Cheyenne, contra toda lógica, decide continuar la tarea de su padre y emprende la búsqueda del nonagenario alemán a través de Estados Unidos.
