The Naval Criminal Investigation Service's Office of Special Projects takes on the undercover work and the hard to crack cases in LA. Key agents are G. Callen and Sam Hanna, streets kids risen through the ranks. Special Agent Kensi Blye, a forensic sleuth and unbeatable undercover operator rounds out the team of Agents. LAPD Detective Marty Deeks is a liaison officer that partners with Blye and is quickly picking up her undercover wits.
