En Amanecer Edward y Bella se casan en una gran ceremonia organizada por Alice. Edward cumple su promesa de tener relaciones sexuales con Bella durante su luna de miel,en la Isla Esme, mientras ésta todavía es humana pero luego se siente extremadamente culpable porque le causa varios moretones y lastimaduras.
