SINOPSIS:

 

Adaptación de la novela del autor y periodista de conciencia social sueco Stieg Larsson, el primero de su " Trilogía de Milenio" en versión REMAKE made in USA. El protagonista de la novela se llama Mikael. Ha trabajado durante mucho tiempo en una revista de sociología y de economía. Ese es su único currículo como «investigador». Sin embargo, en el ocaso de su vida recibe un encargo sorprendente. Un hombre llamado Henrik Vanger le pide que investigue una desaparición que se remonta muy atrás en el tiempo. La de su sobrina, que quizás fue asesinada. En cualquier otro momento de su vida Mikael, que ha sido una auténtica estrella del periodismo, hubiera renunciado, pero éste no es un momento cualquiera. Mikael tiene problemas con la justicia, está vigilado y encausado por una querella por difamación y calumnia. Detrás de la querella está un gran grupo industrial que amenaza con derrumbar su carrera y destruir su reputación. De manera que se hace ayudar por Lisbeth Salander. Lisbeth es una mujer turbadora, incontrolable, socialmente inadaptada, con todas las partes del cuerpo o bien tatuadas o bien perforadas por piercings. Pero tiene extraordinarias cualidades como investigadora, entre ellas una excelente memoria fotográfica y un extraordinario dominio informático que le permitirán encontrar lo inencontrable.
