Excepcional historia repleta de acción, peligros y pasiones que tiene como protagonistas a Scott Glenn («El Silencio de los Corderos», «Training Day»), Harvey Keitel («Reservoir Dogs», «Pulp Fiction»), Miguel Sandoval («Daño Colateral») y Craig Wasson («Doble Cuerpo»). En las pintorescas, pobladas y turísticas calles de Puerto Vallarta, México, tiene lugar un tiroteo. Un hombre que desaparece entre la aterrada muchedumbre acaba de matar a dos personas. Se trata del asesino contratado por la CIA Clayton Price, cuya misión era silenciar a un oficial del ejército norteamericano y que, de paso, ha cumplido una vieja venganza. Pero hay un testigo accidental, el escritor sin demasiada suerte Danny Pastor... que no está muy seguro de lo que ha visto. El destino hace que se encuentre con Price y que éste le ofrezca 5.000 dólares por llevarle a la frontera sin preguntas. Pero las cosas se complican cuando aparece McGrane, el agente de la CIA que envió a Price a México y que ahora ha de lograr que vuelva a Estados Unidos... vivo o muerto..
