Compilation album with 12 folk items of 'salsa' music from Antilles. Among the performers on the CD appears preferentially 'Jorge Cabrera y su Tres', with nine tracks, along with the Dominican 'Che Che Abreu', the Catalan group 'Doble R' and the Canary 'Grupo Sancocho'. Among the various issues highlighted three Antillean sauce created by the prolific Cuban composer Arsenio Rodriguez (items 1, 5 and 9) along with the splendid versions of 'Tumba la cana' or 'Lagrimas negras', composition of the Cuban musician Miguel Matamoros. To enjoy this 'salsa', cleaner and less commercialized than today.
