Cinta de terror y ciencia ficción dirigida por Jason Connery entorno a la misteriosa 'Area 51' estadounidense. Debido a la presión política de la opinión pública estadounidense, la Fuerza Aérea ha decidido permitir que dos periodistas conocidos tengan acceso limitado a la base más secreta del planeta. Pero un terrible accidente hace que la visita cambie su sentido. El problema, uno de los internos alienígenas ha decidido aprovechar la oportunidad para liberarse a sí mismo y a sus compañeros y desatar el caos en la base. El Área 51 pasa de ser una base de seguridad del gobierno a un horrible destino de terror.
