SINOPSIS

 

Confucio, el más famoso e influyente de los filósofos chinos, vivió entre los siglos VI y V a.C. El film se centra en la última etapa de su vida. A los 51 años, Confucio acepta desempeñar un cargo político para contribuir a la pacificación del país en un periodo muy crítico de la historia de China, caracterizado por endémicos y graves enfrentamientos civiles. La influencia del filósofo sobre el rey Lu llegó a a ser tan grande que los personajes más poderosos de la corte se sintieron amenazados, razón por la cual Confucio decidió exiliarse voluntariamente.
