Esta nueva versión del clásico cuento de ”Caperucita Roja” nos relata que durante décadas los habitantes del pueblo de Daggerhorn han mantenido un complicado pacto con el hombre lobo. Sacrifican a un animal una vez al mes para saciar el apetito de la bestia que les atemoriza cada luna llena. Pero bajo una luna de color rojo sangre, el lobo se lleva la vida de un ser humano, aumentando así el precio del pacto. La víctima es la hermana mayor de Valerie, una hermosa joven que acaba de descubrir que sus padres van a casarla con Henry, el heredero de la familia más rica del pueblo. Pero ella está enamorada de Peter, el humilde leñador al que ha amado toda su vida. Para evitar que los separen, la pareja decide fugarse, pero el lobo trastoca sus planes. Los vecinos del pueblo acuden al padre Solomon, un cazador de hombres lobo, para que termine con la bestia de una vez por todas, Pero la llegada de Solomon revoluciona aún más al pueblo cuando les advierte a todos que el lobo adquiere forma humana durante el día y que podría ser cualquiera de ellos. Ahora todos son sospechosos…
