Sinopsis:

Rannulph Junuh (Matt Damon) combatió en la Primera Guerra Mundial, y sus actos heroicos durante ella le convirtieron en toda una celebridad. En 1931, Junuh es invitado a participar en un torneo de golf, frente a dos de los más famosos jugadores de la época. El propósito del extenso y ceremonial juego es inaugurar un nuevo campo y atraer atención gracias al atractivo de contar con Junuh en el torneo. Pero no está al nivel de los otros competidores, por lo que decide contratar a un caddie muy especial, Bagger Vance (Will Smith), un misterioso hombre de color que parece poseer más de un as bajo su manga.
