El primero de ellos un joven detective de policía que a se verá presionado por las protestas del vecindario liderada por su madre. El segundo un exvecino del barrio que decide volver para investigar el asunto como buen fanático del crimen y de Sherlock Holmes en concreto. Entre ambos pronto surgirá la rivalidad a ver quién es el primero en capturar al asesino.
