SINOPSIS:

Jack (George Clooney) is an assassin relaxing in a cabin in Sweden with his lover Ingrid (Irina Björklund) when somebody starts shooting at them. Jack kills the shooter,

and also shoots Ingrid in the head. Jack flees to Rome where he contacts an associate, Pavel, who sends Jack to a town in the mountains of Abruzzo. Nervous, Jack

decides to flee to another town, where he makes friends with a priest Father Benedetto (Paolo Bonacelli). Pavel assigns Jack to another job, to build a gun for a woman,

Mathilde (Thekla Reuten). While working on the gun, Jack starts patronizing a prostitute, Clara (Violante Placido). Jack discovers he is followed by the people who already

tried to kill him in Sweden. Mathilde test the weapon Jack made and asks him to make a few modifications to it. Jack and Clara start to have a deeper relationship, when he

finds a gun in her purse and plans to kill her.
