Cuando empezó el instituto, cuyo equipo de beisbol no dirigía su abuelo, empezó a creer que no era lo suficientemente bueno para triunfar en el mundo del beisbol. Pero, ayudado por sus amigos, aumentó su confianza en si mismo y mejoró sus habilidades, ayudando así a su equipo.
