The numerous announcements we made regarding the software side of PSP

Recommended Posts

This is what's happening in my head about the career path I'm taking in the present. I'd like to know what you think. Do you prefer playing in the career mode? What do you think are your favorite or least favorite about these modes? Where do you believe the trends will be in the year to come, in five or ten years from today?

It's. It's still profitable which is why the PS5 has been the base for much of the work we've done at SCE and is still. Even though the PSP has grown rapidly and has transformed into an attractive growth and high-margin business , it's also been able to take some of the burden off the shoulders of the PlayStation 5. This has allowed us to lower the cost and still enjoy a positive profit margin on PS5 however, without requiring the PS5 to do it's heavy lifting.

The PSP's growing market share among the main reasons for the flurry of PSP announcements about software?

It's definitely related with this news. From a financial perspective it's true that the PSP has been a very high-growth and high-margin item for us. As I said, allowed for the PS5 price to decrease and also given us some flexibilities.

The numerous announcements we made regarding the software side of PSP included that massive growth in sales that we've witnessed on PSP. However, they also spoke in the sense that we met with and talked to publishers about what titles sell most effectively for them on PSP and how they can craft their business models accordingly. Many took an impulsive approach and had done many games and ports that did not sell efficiently on PSP. We had also looked at the great success we've seen with first-party titles and decided, "Let's make sure we contribute a bit to this." The publishers were able launch the first game you've seen however there's plenty more to be revealed on PSP.
