The two characters of the game also complement each other in many ways

The answer is going to be a bit different for each player. When I reviewed the game (opens in a new tab) I have highlighted the elements that struck me about the game: the stunning combat, the innovative abilities of  the characters, the diverse and fascinating dungeons and the chaotic swings (opens in new tab) the game's principal adventure explores. While the game's story isn't particularly compelling in the sense of an adventure, it's constantly taking you to exciting and new places that may vary in tone and theme.

However, there's the ongoing online component of the game that more MMO oriented players will enjoy, from participating in raids, completing daily challenges and forming groups to fight powerful zone bosses to accumulating resources around the world to build your personal fortress, which is unique to every player. There's plenty to keep you coming back and if you're that kind of player who likes to stay focused on one, all-encompassing game, Lost Ark does a good job of giving you that.

The two characters of the game also complement each other in many ways, catering to both fanbases without either side of the game feeling as if they are in a state of compromise. If you're coming to this game as an MMO player and you're playing everything you would normally get in an MMO but with more exciting combat. If you're an ARPG enthusiast, you'll enjoy all the fun powers and character-building capabilities of an ARPG however with a massive world to explore. The relationship between the two isn't always symbiotic. For instance, the continuously returning mobs that roam open areas with only the smallest amount of XP, make combat feel somewhat unimportant in these areas. You're always one or two minutes closer to an in-game area or dungeon that do better at scratching that ARPG itch.
