"The Musician Blues Eric 'Guitar' Davis was killed in a shootout in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, December 19th. The 41-year-old guitarist was found slumped at the wheel of his car in the city's South Side with wounds bullet in the neck and torso, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The guitarist was the son of legend drums, Bobby 'Top Hat' Davis and was signed to Delmark Records. He was scheduled to play a series of concerts with his band in the coming weeks, including a concert on the eve of New Year.
